More award success from Rabbit, this time at the PRCA Awards where we’ve been short-listed for two of our campaigns.
At the end of last week, we talked about the change we made to our regular newsletter, The Rabbit Feed.
Instead of a weekly series of links, we are producing a monthly guide to one, or a group, of social networks. And links that catch our eye are now shared daily via the Rabbitgram instead.
For September, we’ve focused on food discovery networks like Foodspotting.
It’s available for download on both Issuu and Scribd. You can also sign up to receive the October Rabbit Feed here.

(Jim Rabbit writes) A few years ago, when driving along the M62 from Hull to Manchester, the CD player on my car refused to work.
In fact, the only CD it would play was a single by German industrial metal loons Rammstein. The song was called ‘Links, 2,3,4’, and as I don’t speak a word of German, I chose to take it literally.
That was the day my love of links started, and it’s a few links sites I’d like to share with you today.

As a retailer, you spend a lot of time and money in deciding what products are sitting at eye level on the shelves, what potential impulse purchases appear just before the till and what point of sale material will entice shoppers to buy more.
Chances are they won’t be looking at any of that. Why? Because more and more shoppers have one eye on their smartphones.
You know how the TV channel logo is usually in the corner of the screen when watching a programme?
Over at its blog, Twitter tells us that the same is increasingly happening with hashtags.
Using US examples from Comedy Central and Fox, Twitter tells us that: “The persistent hashtag is quick on its way to becoming a basic convention.”

Today is my last day in the burrow and I’ve had an amazing two months working as an intern at The Rabbit Agency.
I embarked on my semester abroad from Boston University in January to live, learn and work in London. I had the opportunity to join the Rabbit team to gain experience and learn more about public relations and social media.

What do $25 billion social shopping service Groupon and Rabbit have in common? We’re both in the list of the world’s most democratic workplaces!
Out today, the annual list is compiled by WorldBlu, which audits companies based on ten different criteria. 52 organisations made the cut to win the most democratic accolade - from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the UK, India, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Malaysia.
We’re still pretty new, being just over a year old, so we’re obviously over the moon that we’re on a global league table of participatory companies And we’re in good company!

We ended last week with some amazing news - the work we did for (London) Gatwick Airport has been highlighted by the CIPR as one of the best social media campaigns of the year!
The CIPR Excellence Awards short-list is out and the Gatwick campaign is a finalist in the social media category, with Facebook and Flip Video among others for company.

We’ve been flexing our artistic muscles at Rabbit this week as the inaugural ‘draw a rabbit while blindfolded’ event took the office by storm.
This week’s offering is from our Head of Digital, Cat Rabbit. We like the way that the artist has used the idea of Cartesian duality and the separation of mind and body to really put across the rabbit’s uncertainty as to exactly what it is.
Don’t worry, rabbit. We don’t know what you are either.
