Congratulations to the bmibaby team for picking up the innovation in travel and leisure award from econsultancy last night!
This is the result of the on-going myeurope Instagram campaign, which has seen 25,000+ pieces of user generated content being uploaded.
This is a phenomenal response rate for an online campaign, especially for one where users actively have to participate by creating, uploading and tagging an image.

More awards success for Rabbit last night where campaigns for Gatwick (best use of social media in a crisis) and bmibaby (best digital travel campaign) won gold at the Digital Impact Awards

As you will know if you follow our blog regularly, our favourite social network at the moment is Instagram.
We have been working with client, bmibaby, to create the world’s first Instameet exchange, which offers Instagramers groups chance to photograph beautiful sights in cities other than their own. The Instagramers community now spans 170+ cities worldwide (http://instagramers.com/cities/)

Here at Rabbit, our love for Instagram is still growing. Dirk Rabbit recently confessed on his blog that Instagram is the 1st social network he checks every day, and for a lot of us at Rabbit, it is the same.
After all looking at beautiful images is a nice way to come round each day isn’t it!?
Another advantage of Instagram is that you get to share as part of a community - it really is the definition of social - with enticing content that draws you in, shows you another person’s visual life-stream and makes you want to share and be a part of it too.
Plus it is fun and helps you to connect with your creative side!
Last week we announced we are using Instagram in partnership with a number of clients. As part of that, we also launched the UK’s 1st airline Instagram promotion for bmibaby.
Having run for only one week, we are thrilled to share the news that #MiaItalia has received over 1000 entries so far.

Those of you who have been following the Rabbit feed for some time will know (or have coyly spotted) that our love for Instagram is somewhat astronomical.
Its sociability and cross-network friendliness has seen the photo-sharing service grow to more than 5 million users over the last nine months, giving it a faster growth rate than either Twitter or Foursquare at the same stage of development.
Therefore we are delighted to announce that our aviation clients bmibaby (@bmibaby), Gatwick Airport (@gatwick) and fashion client Kookaï (@kookaiuk) have recently joined the community, and there are lots of future tactics to look out for!

We’re excited to be launching a European airline industry first as today our client, bmibaby, presents a unique loyalty scheme for its passengers using Gowalla.
With assistance from the location-based network, we have set up locations in bmibaby’s 34 airport check in desks across Europe.
Gowalla allows users to check-in to locations as they travel to learn more about what is around them; from recommendations, to photo-sharing to networking with friends.
